Leaving a Bequest

Leaving a bequest to Castlereagh is a Generous way to leave a legacy ensuring that the local heritage on this sacred acre originally donated by John Lees, is preserved and enhanced for future generations.

Young and Old Hands

Name Pavers

John Lees built the first Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Australia at Castlereagh in 1817. The Church on the site today is the third Church built in 1847. The second Church, also built by John Lees lies under our current driveway. In 2019 we raised funds to pave this location to commemorate the second church 200 years after it was first built in 1819. Following this fundraiser, we now have a limited number of blank name pavers still available for purchase. If you missed out in 2019, please consider purchasing a paver today.
